Each puppy that is born here is part of our family... the families that love them become extended family. Enjoy some photos of past puppies who have grown to become wonderful furry family members!
Now we need to discuss those placements that are not successful.
Every puppy bred here will always have a home. If at any point a family can no longer care for their Masterpiece Mastiff, we will take the dog back for any reason. We do this at any age, at any time in the dogs life, regardless of reason. We understand that things happen, and although we screen potential puppy homes thoroughly, life can change. It is only fair to be a support system, for the sake of every puppy.
When rehoming an adult dog, bringing the dog here to the farm gives us the opportunity to evaluate and determine what type of home would be the best fit for each dog. The dogs evaluation is extensive. We look for many things to determine what they need to be successful in their new environment, and how we can help them.. This evaluation allows us to see what, if any, training is needed. Is the dog undersocialilzed? Did something happen that made the placement unsuccessful? Do we need to involve a behaviorist? We are fortunate to be reasonably close to Tufts, and we do use that resource as needed.
As a result of our 'at home' evaluations, we have had a 100% success rate when we have rehomed adults. The goal is always FOREVER placement, so if a certain dog is not right for you, we are happy to consider you for another.
We often have a wait list of families looking to offer an adult mastiff a good home. If you know someone looking for an adult mastiff, feel free to share our information. We occasionally have adults that become available through no fault of their own, and if not we can point them to amazing mastiff rescue organizations.
Please feel free to email us with any thoughts, questions, or to get a copy of our puppy questionnaire.
